I wasn't sure if the gearbox crossmember was different, but I have one you can
have for postage if it is Bob.

It was I who was suggesting the auto could be a better buy for a resto.
Swapping to manual isn't difficult, but you need just a few bits off a
manual Zed donor car of course.  Wreckers or private sellers of a wreck
would be required to supply these.  As the cars are built in both man. and
auto. it just a bits swapping exercise.

You would need a manual flywheel, clutch, gearbox, - these could come from
any '72 to '84 6 cyl dattos (with L series engines). Many 4 cyl dattos also
have the right 5 speed gearbox also - eg the 5 speed 83/84 Bluebirds.

Specific Zed bits you need are the manual Zed clutch and brake pedals,
gearbox cross member and a fabricated fluid line to the slave cylinder. A
manual Zed console for the tunnel would be required for total authenticity.

Thats about it.
