check the newish import laws,something about they are fine to import as long as they have been regod in NZ first before they are shipped to ozzie.
it costs over $10,000USD to get a R32 on the road in the states.plus the car and shipping.

It costs between 2 and more thousand dollars to compliance an R32 Skyline (depends on the year model).

Then I'm sure there is some hidden customs costs. Youre at least looking at 15k aussie. You can get an R32 in australia for that much, probably in similar condition to a $4500NZ R32.
