No Tobes I don't have any dealing with Traffic Branch. Detective vs Traffic fight is alive and well in Qld.
Its easy to point at the unifom boys and say "Why are those pricks overtaking me" just as easy as the people at the job they are going to are saying "where are these bastards". Coppers do get tickets regularly, and also get departmentally charged. I have more photos of me behind the wheel courtesy of speed cameras than I care to mention. I won't enter into arguments as I am the first to admit there are cops who drive like idiots and then write tickets for the same thing. I don't do it and I won't allow it with any of my trainees because I don't like hypocrits (and probably can't spell it either). I have broken the speed limit many times at work, but when justifiable. You don't dawdle when going to an armed robbery or a stabbing, common sense must prevail. You'll meet a lot of people through life who have stories about Police. Some are true, some are not. I won't enter into any arguments as I hear it every day. Traffic branch write tickets, and have to prove the offence beyond reasonable doubt before a Magistrate if it goes to Court. If you get a ticket and you don't think it is justified, take it to court. If you get a ticket and it is justified or you pay it proving it is justified, don't complain - you got caught and that's all there is to it.
