I agree with Terry, you can certainly get your FJ to handle well. I run an FJ in my race car (improved production). Due to being a near stock engine, I don't have the horsepower of some other cars - including worked up L20's. Having said this, I'm still two seconds a lap quicker (Eastern Creek) than the above mentioned L20 powered 1600.
I have been told by numerous people that the weight difference is about 15kg, this is something that can easily be worked around.
