Jim,
Another thing to check is that your dizzy mechanical advance mechanism
isn't frozen. Remove the dizzy cap and turn the rotor as far as it will go
anticlockwise, let is go and check that it springs back to it's original
position.

My L20B Stanza has developed a flat spot or hesitation when accelerating hard. I have a 32/36 DGAV Weber which I stripped and cleaned and put a carby kit through before installing 5 months ago. Ran smooth as silk but now has this nasty flat spot. No backfire or other symptoms, can anyone suggest a cure?
