Yeah, 280KW didn't sound right for a supercharged V6 made by holden. I
guess Bobs right - Holdens target is the 'blokes' who drink 'VB' and
think pig hunting is a sport... hahah jokes. No offense to any holden
drivers...

I think the supercharged holden v6 puts out about 160kw or so. I would
be pretty surprised if they ever released one that puts out more than
the 8s in the S pack or SS commodores, not because it couldnt be done,
but it wouldnt go down well with thier kind of consumer.

m> That's David's Weitz's car. I stayed with him and his family
when I visited the east coast last year and got to ride in his 510. It's
really torquey from low speed and sounds awesome. The

I can get block hugger headers for them here which would probably work
on a 510 install. I had a Rover V8 in a Datsun 280C a
m> few years ago and although on paper the output doesn't look that much
different to an L28 it was heaps faster than a stock one.

m> If you start comparing the Rover V8 to American V8's it looks

400bhp+ region. I probably wouldn't go this route myself a I like
screamer four cylinder motors but it's an interesting and
m> different conversion.

m> Hey listers,
m> I was enquiring about a front spoiler from the US described
as the "ultimate 510 air dam"
m> Unfortunately it is $500 Australian plus postage so I passed
on that one!
m> However the guy selling them said he had a 2-door 72 Datsun

m> The motor is an Oldsmobile 215CI V-8. It is the same as the
Rover motor (you know, the
m> all alloy unit they put in Triumph TR8s and stuff).
m> I asked him to send some photos, which he obliged so if
anyone is interested, I'll post them

m> I just can't remember or find the link to do the upload. How
is it done?
m> I have the password etc.
