Im thinking it isnt aligned either. SO pretty much I take the vinyl
stuff off the door, and then unscrew the inside metal sheeting and go
from there? Mines a 1600. Sounds like a Sunday afternoon job as I need
my car all week and dont really want to drive around without the door
trim on. Grrr. Oh well. One of the pains of driving a 30 year old car,
but I guess the pleasures outweigh it by a lot :)

had this happen to my stanza, remove the door trim and reach inside the
door with a small screw driver and pop the latch from the inside, I know
that's a vague description, but once you get the door trim off and look
down where the latch it it's fairly self explanitory. Once you've got
the door open you'll be able to see what's causing the problem
easier......I'm not sure if this is your problem or not, but when this
happened to me it was the 3 screws that hold the latch in had come loose
and it wasn't properly aligned. Took me about 50 atempts to get it
perfectly aligned again, but the door never stuffed up again.

Subject: Seized locks

Today I was driving and my mate was jumping out of the car (actually,
getting out of the car) and he couldnt close the door. It seemed like
the door handle was in some kind of a limbo so I fiddled with it and it
closed. I the proceeded to lock the door (from the inside) which needed
a bit of force, which is quite unusual. Anyone got any ideas how to
actually open the door, as I cant pull the door apart until it is open
(Ie its locked and wont open with or without a key). A friend of mine
reckons a coat hanger down the window will work, im unsure how to do
this ANy ideas would b appreciated.

Cheers.
