Nah just standards... I think! I haven�t done anything and there is nothing that would lead me to believe otherwise...

Have you got aftermrket locks on your 1600? It sounds like what happened to me. I had just installed thoes solex locks with the round keys. I had used the wrong little plates that move the latch. I did the same thing and forsed the lock to lock and it forsed the whole internal parts of the lock to the point of no return. Luckilly it was the passenger side so it gave me time to pull the door apart. If you do have solex locks there is a key in the set that doesn't have the little bit that lines the key up in the right spot. Just fiddle untill you can get that key to unlock the door. Then you pull the locks out and replace the latch thing with the right size one. Put it all back together and everything should be right from there. I hope this helps in some way.
