They are crossflow with a single down-draft port that splits into two runners (one for each valve). The OS GIKEN heads are the same specs as the LZ but the carbs or injection (BMW 2002 BOSCH clone mechanical); are on the LHS of the engine bay and exhaust on the RHS. I think the LZ head and OS GIKEN heads were both reverse engineered 4 valve BDA ford heads to suit the nissan L series blocks. The both use the same 40 degree included valve angles and stacked separate cam tray design of the BDA. The CA,SR and now QR twin cam are just evolutions of these design with a shallower valve angle and integral camshaft supports.
