first of all you have my  sympathies.....:-O

you sorta can  really compare two different engines as they warm up.

couple things:
check timing
as the  sigma warms up, take the radiator  cap of and stick ya fingers in
the water, and check to see how hot it is?
radiator  partially blocked
thermaostat not working.
get a mechanical type gauge and stick it in the radiuator hose, then
tighten the  hose clamp up real tight so it wont leak, then double check
temps with gauge  in sigma.
