NatCount the turns in first gear using a clutch plate on the input shaft. It should be 2.818 turns in first gear and 1:1 in 5th. It may be either a flange box or a slip joint type depending on age as the 240RS used option boxes as well, using a slip joint. Be careful!!!!! and have the gears crack tested as they are now over twenty years old and the synchroes are approximately $600 / gear!!!!!!
