We had a discussion a fair while ago about this. I had a similar idea but the wiser persons in our group showed that any kind of forced induction through a stock carby wont give you any more power, as it will tend to lean out the fuel flow. Without compensating fuel flow increases there is no power gain, more likely losses, as the extra intake manifold pressure may actually reduce flows from carby jets calculated to run with suction.
