I'm quite happy to ,as soon as the car is back on the road and engine ran back in. Thats the plan Full on circuit racing in classic modafied. No way I can run in stock classic ,engine kills it
Targa 2005 is a very big aim for me ,But planning to have the car back on the road well before that. My engine is sort of like ben johnson's (nz) 510 rally car of about 3-4 years ago,he came second overall in the classic rally of the south island or something like that,doing it with wrx,evo's all the big 4wd stuff.Totally flew past other datsuns running L20B's they were stratching their heads over this one.we both have the same blocks with the same mods.I got the parts need for him. I've had some dude around a few years back from FF&R he said, with a big camera ,I told him to go away.He even spoke like a ozzie (6-sex) If you think I'm tossing thats fine by me,I dont even care,I know what I got and what it does,You'll see ,it will not be tomorrow but it will happen. The USA 2.5 TransAm is what I like but with out the big body mods. When it becomes time to get a wof for the road ,I'll be saying to the dude ,See the glove box factory badge that says "2.5 datsun" thats factory ,the car is a Datsun 1600 ,but factory 2500cc ,even though the cam cover says Datsun 1600 because that what it is.
