I am looking at rewiring the old datto 1600. I have already done the headlights using Chris at Turbovans diagrams which worked a treat.
As this was such a success I figured i may aswell sort out the rest of the 30yr old harness if it is going to cope with an sr20det and upgraded lighting.

I am having trouble finding wire with trace and have been told by a few other guys who rewired their cars to use just solid 10-20amp wire and identify them by the heatshrink plastic connectors.
I was wondering if anyone else has done this and how the went about it. My main issue is the fact that I will be getting rid of some obsolete wires in the old harness and figured I may aswell replace it all.
Once you have it all out of the car it is not really a big issue, just finding the right wire colours etc.
