The rear links (at least two on each side - and maybe all of them) need to be replaced. I expect if you grab the links with a pair of channel-locks and twist, you'll find that the link is no longer securely attached to the rubber bushing and moves considerably. The replacement links were modified in the early '90s and are considerably more robust. It is recommended that any 124 chassis car manufactured before the revised links became standard (early/mid model year '91) have the links replaced even if no troble is evident. The car will handle much better with the revised links than it did with GOOD original links.

This "wiggle" will be exacerbated if the shocks or anti-sway bar mounts have deteriorated, but they won't cause the problem.

If the wiggle occurs only at higher speeds (over 50-60 mph) and gets worse with increasing speed, it COULD be caused by seriously eroded/collapsed subframe mounts (this will cause VERY rapid rear tire wear - the wear will usually be symmetrical).
