They didn't come stock with the right side cover for some reason. Later 124's did have the cover, I think... at least my E500 has one on both sides (with no fluid coolers on either side). You can buy the right side cover from Rusty pretty cheap, along with the couple of plastic nuts and rivets to mount it. That's what I did, just to make things look neater.
