If it is like a 240D then check to be sure the reverse band adjustment bolt on the passengers side of the transmission has not backed itself out. I thought reverse was shot in mine....Tightened the bolt back in to where it belonged and it was as good as new. Might not be your problem but may be worth a look. If you have no reverse, odds are that you will indeed need to have some work done on your transmission. Be prepared... Don't forget to drain the torque converter. BTW, if you take it to a transmission shop they will say you need a rebuild (that's their job). Either do it yourself or find a shop you really trust. I have had such symptoms on American iron, and this solution worked for me. YMMV. Thomas E. When I put my 1990 Mercedes 300se into reverse it acts like it dont want to go? Driving forward there are no problems. I dont know if it is worth getting the transmission flushed or if the reverse gear is going out? _______________________________________ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://striplin.net/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_striplin.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://striplin.net/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_striplin.net
