I had to think about this a second as I've had all pretty good cars. The worst
would have been my '81 300TD.
I bought it for $300 which is exactly what it was worth. I wasn't capable of
doing very many repairs myself so it cost me a mint with my Indy and was a
basket case from beginning to end.
But when the stars were aligned and everything worked it was such a sweetheart
of a car to drive. It had the most comfortable seats and the rear suspension
worked mostly and it handled so well...
Then it blew the headgasket, the rear muffler fell off and the injector returns
started popping off...
I sold it for $200 to a Hawaian guy from Needham...
