Yup, although the W123 ones last longer that W124 fronts.

Inspect carefully with good light -- ANY cracks or deformation around the bolts holes or ANY signs that the metal parts have moved on the rubber condems the disk.

total the car when the driveshaft starts flailing around. There are some pictures someplace of the trans area in a car where the driveshaft got
away and it
looked like a bomb went off. Broke the trans and tore holes in the floor.

At the very least, you will be stranded someplace.
