In 1978, I removed 12 large Detroit/GM Diesel generator engines from the base power generation plant at Sondrestrom Air Base, Greenland, where they had been running for 35 years. 'Replaced them with 10 larger White/Westinghouse, I think they were. Surprising how fast I'm forgetting.
