I've been using Mobil 1 5w40 which makes alot of difference in cold starting, I can't see using anything else. -Curt __________________________ I have never owned an OM61x engine that would reliably start without the block heater if cold soaked at zero (F). Using Mobil synthetics, I would expect that to drop to -5 or -10 F. With series plugs raise those numbers by 5 to 10 degrees F (as half the heating power is wasted outside the engine!). OM60x engines are 5 to 10 degrees better than the OM61x engines with regard to cold starting.
