When I had the Loadstar tires on there I ran it at max 55psi. These auto tires are max 35psi, which is where I am running them. It does have 205/75R15 on it right now. I notice by going with a larger size (215, 225, 235 etc) the load rating goes up. So, if I ran larger size in lt truck type tires with the higher load rating, would that still not be OK and I should stick with trailer rated tires?

Well take for instance, how much does a 140 weight? Im not sure. Its a heavy car I know that. Trailer is a regular old steel flat bed 18' trailer. dont know how much that weights. Tires I have on now are 1499 per tire, so 5996 total capacity.

That's not much for trailer tires, especially when you're hauling a 6000lb car on a 1500lb trailer with 1000lb on the tongue. 185/80r13 Load range C are 1480 each at 50psi, aren't your tires 15" x something?

BTW, you ARE running your trailer tires at sidewall maximum inflation when loaded, right?

205/75R15 load range C trailer tires are 1820lb, which are a decent match for 3500lb axles. I think I'd rather have Kelley than Marathons though. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Marathon+Radial&partnum=075R5MAR6
