The correct pressure is load-dependent.  Too high and you
get excessive center-wear on the tread.  Too low (worse) and
you get sidewall heating and side-wear on the tread, and
early tire failure.  The pickup truck tires are rated at 80#,
but they only have that when the camper's on it.  I think 50#
is more of an unloaded rating, or 65# as a compromise.  I believe
the owner's manual (that un-read rag!) actually has a chart
in it.
