What I think happened was that I hit two buttons simultaneously and
caused a big short in the pushbutton unit, but who knows?
Gerry

No, that won't do it. The ACC manual even details what happens
in various multiple-button situations. No harm, just odd behavior.

You must have a different trouble shooting manual. I can't find any troubleshooting in this one other than the basic use of the ammeter, voltmeter, and resistance circuit testing unless I missed it somehow. This one is SM (service manual?) 1243 (rev. 7-85). If what you describe is on the disc, I've got to hunt for it. It may be in the shop. It would seem that since the resistor unit, the fan, the temperature control unit, the fan control unit, the pushbuttton unit, and the compressor are all disconnected; that I shouldn't get any heavy current flow at the fuse terminal, and I should get zero resisitance between the listed ground wires to a frame or body ground.
I've checked all that but I'll check it again.
