probably not so helpful with Algae, but depending on what exactly the goo is, it might not hurt to run several tanks full of straight BioDiesel through it to help clean out the fuel lines after you have a different (read: competent) mechanic clean out the tank. of course anything cleaned out of the fuel lines will likely wind up downstream in the filters in fairly short order, but that's what filters are for. basically you'll break the accumulated grunge loose and flush it down to the filters when you're *expecting* to deal with it instead of having the grunge showing up randomly later on.

cheers!

How do y'all deal with algae or bad diesel crapping up your filters? Any
helpful advice?
