Cheapskate that I am, I got an RCA to 3.5mm stereo cable (okay, already had one of them) and connected from my 'good' cassette player with auto-reverse and auto-stop, into my line-in, and set it next to my computer at work. I ran Audacity on my work computer while I was sitting at my desk, just started it run and left it alone until I heard it click off, then I'd stop the recording and swap for the next cassette. Save it off to MP3 and copy it to my computer at home, and viola no more cassettes. You lose chapter splits but otherwise it works fine. There are ways to re-split based on chapters but it wasn't that interesting for me.
