This VW weighs 840 lbs.

A big car hit an Isetta from behind and it went airborne. Landed about a quarter block away. Driver and passenger were not badly hurt. I wonder if being "bounced" in a light car instead of absorbing the crash might be an advantage?

Wife once ran a red light in a Beetle and got broadsided by a big Dodge sedan. The Beetle went airborne and landed across the intersection. Wife had only broken ribs and ankle even though she was hit on the drivers side.

Reminds me of those Isetta things where the whole front opened for you
to crawl in.

Sort of a "mono" gullwing design....
