Depends on what you consider "safe". I think you'd avoid the tax man finding you.
However, the first question is what sort of temperature is it outdoors? What does that bacon grease look like at that temperature? (or any outdoor temperature you're likely to see in the next couple months or however long it takes to be sure that all of that grease is out of there). I'm thinking it's not going to be very liquid. But, if by chance you live in a warm climate where bacon grease left outside always stays nice and liquid then you could probably get away with it. But if you didn't filter it, you're going to be filtering it with you standard fuel filters. That may clog them up a lot quicker than normal... And this is of course for only a cup or so in 10 gallons or more of diesel...
