FIB was a term in use by the '80's in the Wisconsin area that I grew up, and
I think it existed after the first summer which combined car traffic from
Illinois and Wisconsin road construction.

A fellow from the Lincoln state asked me why all the trees in Illinois
pointed toward Wisconsin. I took the bait, and the punch line was "Because
WI sucks". My reply: "No, Illinois b***s". We had a great time giving
each other hell after that.

Now I'm a Yankee living in the south. Folk here are too polite to tell me
to my face what they think of us Yankees, but there are a few bumper
stickers I enjoy like "If they call it 'Tourist Season', how come we can't
shoot them?"

Very respectfully,
