My experience when converting to Synthetic from Dino has been: existing leaks get *slightly* worse but no new leaks appear and after a while - 3000-10000 miles - the existing leaks improve or leak slower and sometimes stop leaking completely. I've done this on a '74 Porsche 911, Mercedes 240D, 89 Ford Van withV8, Chev Tahoe, 92 Olds & 97 Chrysler. All have benefitted from the change - they've gotten quieter, fuel mileage improves, & they seem to run better - but that's just a "feeling". Once I finish the restoration of my MGB it'll get the "change" also. ;-)

Sincerely,
Larry T ('74 911, '67 MGB, '78 240D w/284,xxx)
