I bought a whole box of confiscated stuff from the security room of a big mall store that was closing, it had all kinds of very nice stuff in it, including some brand new shoplifted Henckel kitchen knives, brass knucks, switchblades, butterflies, dope pipes, and other nasty stuff. I think I offered the auction guy $10 for it, it was below his area of concern and I'm sure the tenner went in his pocket. I got a nice 220V air compressor, a cabinet full of car audio installation stuff, and a couple of random mystery (but I peeked) boxes that turned out to have some very nice nearly new Milwaukee pro power tools and other good stuff, tools and such. All for $500, helluva deal, stuff they really did not want to deal with as they were selling all the fixtures and shelves and whatnot. I still have a bunch of those knives and such in a box somewhere, but have used some of the good ones, including the kitchen knives.

The state has excess property auctions every week that are published online.
One of the regular lots are piles of knives they take from people entering
penal institutions and police stations, etc. The separate them out by brand,
then sell the lot.

Just for grins I threw out a bid of $31 for a lot of Victorinox Swiss Army
knives, about 60 of them of various types and sizes.

I won.

I now have a big ZipLoc bag of Victorinox knives. I handed a bunch of them out
to employees and friends. Most of the knives were in near perfect condition.

I got this puppy for xmas :

I wish it had a fish dehooker/scaler instead of an all but
useless saw. They have a bunch of other one handed knives. The rescue tool looks pretty bad ass.

move the open blade side to side, I expect VERY little on
better no movement. I also do not favor a belt hook,
