This reminds me of the Leyland P76, built in Oz during the 70's, quite an advanced car with aluminum body and V8 but ugly as sin, anyway it's claim to fame was that you could fit a 44 gallon drum in the boot.

About 2 years ago I needed to find a cheap reliable replacement for my son's
dead Ford Ranger. All the used imports were priced too high. I researched
Consumer Reports repair frequency stats, and determined that the mid-to-late
90s Crown Vics compared favorably to the better imports. We found a '97
that was being sold ($2100 with about 120K on the clock) so the PO could buy
a Pious. Nice car, gets 18 around town and 24 on the highway. My cousins
in New Jersey say you can get 2-3 bodies in the trunk to bring out to the
Pine Barrens.
