Try Rich's suggestion first. You have 4 choices

1. See if the strainer comes out with the hose fitting (easy)
2. Se if you can get a channellock or a basin wrench on it.
3. Drop the subframe partially to get more clearance.
4. Remove the axle bolts. Not fun, and the bolts are pretty soft, so they round off easy. On mine, I used the socket and a vicegrips on the outside together to avoid stripping the Z#% bolt!

I have decided to remove the axle. cant get to the strainer any other way. Im assuming its the triple square bolts that need to be removed? They are on very tight, even with a breaker bar I could not get them off. Need to locate my cheater pipe.

I am going to remove the tank strainer on that 560 and the axle shaft seems to be in the way. It seems the best way is to get a breaker bar on it that will fit above the axle. Using an extension on a ratchet it will run right into the axle. Is this the best way or am I going to have to remove the axle?
