I do not see a reason to ever buy new or rebuilt calipers unless yours
are completely locked up, cracked, or damaged in some way. Most of the
time they are just leaking and all you need to do is order the seal kit,
pop the pistons out and replace the seals. If I have one that is locked
up I replaced with a good used caliper with new seals in it.

I've driven probably 21,000 miles since then and had one leak which they
replaced under warranty no questions asked, didn't even look in the box... IIRC
they were ~$80 each and they had them the next day.

Dan,
The guys are right...
its either the hoses or the caliper causing the
problem. But, given
the age of your car, you need new brake hoses no
matter what.
Replace all four while you're doing this job. You'll be
very
impressed with the improved pedal feel, and you'll reduce the
chances
of having your brakes hang up in the future significantly.
Check
your local auto parts store for rebuilt calipers... mine usually
stock
(!) them, or can get them in a few hours for these cars. And
they're
very affordable, perhaps under $100/each for the rears. Also
consider
that when you replace them, you should be doing it in pairs,
left
and right.

What's the fix? New caliper? Or are they DIY
rebuildable? Cost?
Thanks!
