HAHA love it. There are certain parts of the east coast (generally
south of the Mason-Dixon line) that are quite tolerable, and don't
forget the third coast.

and loving it)

i've lived on both edges, and been through the middle at least dozens
of times. if you're happy with the weather there and the 'Us vs. Them'
attitudes like what you display here that seem to be so much more
common there, then we're all happy... but like it or not, there's a
whole bunch more country beyond what you seem to think of as the "rest
of the country". ;-)
but hey, here i am responding to a random voice on the 'net who hides
behind an alias, and doesn't even stand behind what he's saying enough
to put his name on it. what was i thinking?!
cheers!

Ya, You becha!
I am ignoring the east and west coastal dens of high taxes. They like
to pretend we don't exist, so I pretend they don't exist.
Since we are being converted, I like to invoke the old soviet workers
axiom: "They pretend to pay us, so we pretend to work." The above is
a corollary to the original, kinda like all the corollaries to
Murphy's law.
I don't generally drive in or to the east or west coast, so your tax
rates don't affect me.
you must be ignoring a large part of the country; i'd love it if
fuel prices here were only what they are in North WI! ;-)

This explains why I am taking the Dogde van to the peoples
