I take it all back. There are some issues, I def need the larger
flexdisks from the 300D on the front. The carrier bushing needs to be
replaced. The gearing needs to be shortened up, 2.88 might be ok 3.07
would be a hoot. 65mph is 1850 rpm. 70mph is 2000. Once the turbo kicks
in it really winds up. I need to see if there is a chart of clamping
pressures for the pressure plates like there is on the 123, there is not
enough pressure for the torque. With my 123 I went to a larger beefier
clutch and flywheel, gained lots of torque but not much go. I would like
to find a stiffer pressure plate with the hopes that it grabs better.
I switched to the standard shifter and my shifting complaint is gone
(well maybe now the knob sites a wee bit to high), I put the carpeting
back in and the clutch is just fine. I got the brake lights sorted
today, there was a missing tab on the pedal I had so the pedal cluster
came out again, along with the clutch line from the reservoir, what a
mess. It is all cleaned up now and reverse lights work as well. I could
not get the clutch NSS switch to work right so I just hotwired it.
So many things to do so little time..
