Nope. Gotta come off. Do NOT scrape away at it, you could dislodge a chunk that could get sucked into the cylinder and bend a rod or clog a prechamber.
Use synthetic oil to help prevent the buildup -- neither of our 603s have any coked oil/soot mess at 150,000 plus miles.
