PAH! Southerners know nothing... Take a propane torch and just touch the lock with it for a second (while its lit obviously) it'll melt the ice out easy peasy.
No propane torch? Go get a wind proof butane lighter, same deal, hold it on longer. -Curt Date: Mon, 13 Dec 2010 10:54:24 -0500 From: andrew strasfogel <astrasfo...@gmail.com> To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: Re: [MBZ] MBNA Cheaps out Message-ID: <aanlkti=r76puh_z8al2h0m9uvefu4e-rzktulahur...@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 I may need to call Roadside to unfreeze the door locks in my1985 300TD. I tried copious amounts of de-icer solution but it didn'tt work. I can finally insert the key into the driver's door lock, but it won't turn. What puzzles me is that it isn't even that cold in D.C. but it rained a ton yesterday, then dipped below freezing last night. What else can I do without wrecking my brand new door handle?
