It now turns - car was facing the sun all morning. Is there any way to PREVENT this from happening again, short of building another garage?
Is the flap still over they keyhole? If so, there's also a thin plastic drip shield that's supposed to be over the lock assembly on the inside of the door, so that it doesn't get rained on by the window. That doesn't last long, and is one of the first things lost when the door is worked on.
