Close.  Betacam is the broadcast format - not Betamax.  They are
_not_ interchangeable.

The tape case looks the same.  The formulation of the tape is
not.  The original BetaCam tapes could be used in Betamax, but
the BetaCam deck ran the tape much faster. 20 Minutes for an
L-500 tape.

BetaCamSP replaced it.  It used a "metal" tape that would not
work with Betamax decks.
