Do you have clear LOS for the 3/4 mile? You can make a pair of directional 
antennae and set up a wireless link the whole way... 

You can probably find cisco 1300 series wireless bridges for cheap on auction 
sites (btw I have a pair of G radios for the 1300's, so a B model could be 
upgraded)
