I wonder if a 3-d printer could be made 'self feeding' using existing
material at hand, and then it could make smaller 3-d printers, which would
then make a even smaller printers, etc. etc. until you'd need a microscope
to see them, but don't get too close or you may become 'infested' and used
as material to make more printers.
