Stall speed test. When the engine and transmission are at operating
temperature
(15 or more minutes of driving around), come to a full stop, pointed in a safe
direction. With the transmission in drive, stand firmly on the brake with left
foot and floor the accelerator with right foot. Engine speed will climb, level
out for a bit, then climb again as the turbocharger spools up (if your ALDA is
set correctly). It should probably level out at around 1800 RPM, I forget the
spec, it is published but I'll have to dig a bit to find it.

The idea is to determine if your torque converter is working or not. If you
only get to say 1200 RPM, your torque converter has problems.

 Very respectfully,
