My first MBZ was a $500 240d. I drove it 30k miles or so. Steve MacSween
put an engine in it an as far as I know is still driving it. There IS such
a thing as a cheap Mercedes if you aren't anal about perfection. I have put
6k miles on my $1100 300d on near free wvo and have replaced one rear wheel
bearing and a cv shaft along with routine maint. Beats the heck out of a
car payment if you ask me. I drive the best car made for the cheapest
cost......just doesn't seem fair to everyone making payments....hahhahahaha.
I love my " this shitty economy" car.
As far as reliability goes, I have been to MI, VA and all over NY with it
and would not hesitate a second to drive across the USA with it.
