I keep a 18" braeker bar, 12" (1/2") extension with a 17MM socket on it all the time in the top of my tool box. I almost never need the factory lug wrench. If you have a tire shop put wheels on your car, you WILL need a cheater on the factory lug wrench, or my breaker bar setup. I just start with the tool that generally needs no strain.

However, when the van needs the lug bolts taken off, I do strain in the breaker bar. I try to keep the rattlewrench monkeys off my MBs. They love to break off studs on merican arn. (American Iron)

I keep wrench sets in my vehicles, so I usually don't care if I have a factory lug wrench.

Salvage yard?

BTW, when my '80 240D was totaled in Jun '95, I went to it in the wreck holding yard and took from it the original MB tool pouch and wheel covers. Tool pouch certainly came in handy few days later when I bought '91 350SDL with no tool pouch. Wheel covers came in handy on utility trailer and to replace damaged ones on '81 300D bought from a friend 4 or 5 years later.
