I would be patient and continue to apply the PBBlaster/Acetone mix.  Despite 
having encountered similar fittings on older MBs that lived in the North, I 
never had one of these fittings get boogered up as long as I left penetrating 
oil on it for at least 24 hours and used flare nut wrenches (your use is duly 
noted - good job!)

It always amazed me that they would come apart, especially some of the ones 
that were really corroded.  I can't recall any other brand of vehicle I was 
successful in doing the same.

Subject: [MBZ] stuck brake hoses

I started working on replacing the brake hoses on my W116.  The fittings
where the hard line meets the hose don't look too bad but they are not
turning.  I am using a flare nut wrench.  I have PB Blaster on them now.
I may mix up some more ATF/acetone.

Thought about getting a micro-torch so I could heat up the fitting on
the end of the hose a bit.  I think my regular blow torch might be too
big.
