The battery. Last time I needed a battery FLAPS core was less than
the salvage price for a battery of $3-5. But I have not checked for
several years.

The car or the battery? Around here FLAPS will give you $10-$20 off
the price of a new battery if you bring in an old one, even long out
of warranty or from another store---they call it a core charge, but
I'm sure it's really that they get something for the lead.
