There is no fuel leaking from around the hand pump when driving or with the car at rest. My thinking is that when I pumped the primer pump into a system that didn't need priming, the fuel already in the system had nowhere to go but spill ll over the place. Until then, I had only use the pump after changing the main fuel filter.
