As I was mounting my 126 at Indy's shop for return home, a nice-looking 140 pulled in beside me; the driver asked me as he was dismounting his steed, "How many miles on that 126?" "199,300," I replied, "How 'bout that 140?" "376,000," he replied, "Can't depend on anything any more; 'brought it in for some work on drive shaft bearing, rear end, etc." It was '97 or '99 S320; owner said this is first significant problem he's had with it - no electrical, electronic probs. - nothing.

Subject: [MBZ] Amazing 126

'Had Indy in Raleigh R & R engine and tranny mounts on the 91 350SDL this afternoon. I was reminded on the trip there and back (almost all interstate highway) what a pleasure it is to drive a 126, especially more so on the return trip with new mounts making it even quieter and solid as a rock cruising at 75 mph. Like I've said before, 'feels like flying on a cool, clear day.
