Most engines will go a long time if you start them up and leave them
on all day...

Right, but in the same service (identical start and stop) a propane
(or CNG) engine will last far longer than the same engine run on
gasoline.
The City of Hoover, AL vehicles run on homemade(city made) B100 from
waste veg oil are cleaner and less wear than the ULSD control
vehicles.
They have 2 batch processors of 50 gal each.
BTW, I can sell you an identical processor (with current updates) if
you want to brew your own. It is not a backyard project.
